The student team from the Nursing study program (prodi) at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FKK) of Megarezky University succeeded in winning 2nd place in the Bebat Bidai and Transportation (BBT) competition, which was organized by Siaga Ners Unhas, on Saturday (24/9/2022) .
The FKK Nursing Study Program student team that took part in the competition consisted of 4 students, including Abdullah Mahardika Wailisa, Richard Souhuwat, Natanel Leha and Ahmad Fauzi.
When met by members of the Unimerz press, one of the representatives of the BBT competition participants, namely Abdullah Mahardika Wailisa, said that the championship achieved by his team was the result of good teamwork and support from the lecturers.
“We were able to get second place as a result of good cooperation within the team. "Apart from that, it was also because of the support provided by our lecturers that we were able to win second place," he said, Tuesday (27/9).
Furthermore, he also hopes that in the future, the experience he gained during competitions with his team can be shared with juniors, so that they can later take part in competitions, win and make the Unimerz campus proud.
"If we have time next year, God willing, we will come again. But if we don't have time, we hope for the Nursing Study Program class 19, so that we can educate our students to train themselves. "So that they can take part in the competition and can make the good name of the faculty and Megarezky University proud," he hoped.
In line with that, Ajay Qumar Sagala as one of the participants in the Basic Life Support (BHD) competition, admitted that competing in the competition really requires regular training and thorough preparation.
“My team and I took part in the BHD competition for ordinary people. But yesterday we lost in the final, because everything was beyond expectations. It turns out that our team was not prepared enough for many things, even though during training we felt we had done our best. "However, unfortunately there were several BHD actions that we did not take, so our grades were lower," said the 2019 Nursing Study Program student.
In this way, he also hopes that in the future, the faculty can create a forum for Nursing students, especially for emergencies, so that there will be thorough preparation for students before advancing to the competition.
"The hope is that the faculty can create a forum for the emergency sector. "This is so that in the future if there are competitions like this it won't be sudden and preparations can be more thorough," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Sri Wahyuni, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes as part of the Student Affairs Department of the Undergraduate Nursing and Nursing Profession Study Program, congratulated the students who won, because they were willing to take the time to get out of their comfort zone.
“To the younger siblings who won, keep your enthusiasm up. Thank you for wanting to get out of your comfort zone and study at college. Then learn again to take part in competitions and practice dividing your time. "Maybe in this competition we only got second place. But hopefully this can be an experience that you can share with your younger siblings," said the Student Assistant Lecturer when taking part in the competition.
Not only that, he also has similar hopes to Ajay Qumar Sagala. He hopes that in the future the Bachelor of Nursing and Nursing Profession study program can create a forum or organization for students related to the field of emergencies.
"Hopefully, through this momentum, the Bachelor of Nursing and Nursing Profession Study Program can create its own study program level organization, which is related to the emergency sector. "So that later, if there is another competition, they can immediately take part," he said.
For your information, recently FKK Unimerz undergraduate nursing student, Mey Cornelia Rafyo Kulalean, also qualified to become a participant in the Online Global Health Program in Nursing 2022, which was organized by Yokohama City University and Hasanuddin University, on 14-15 September 2022.
