The Megarezky University (Unimerz) Postgraduate Program started its first lecture by holding a public lecture with the theme 'Directions of National Education towards the Digitalization Era' in a hybrid (online-offline), on Saturday (18/3/2023).

This public lecture was also directly coupled with training on the use of Edlink for new students of the Unimerz Postgraduate program.

Also present at this activity, both online and offline, were the Unimerz Postgraduate Director; Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli., SE, M.Si, Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies at Unimerz; Dr. Rika Handayani, SKM., M.Kes, Resource Person; Prof. Dr. Sukardi Weda, SS., M.Hum., M.Pd., M.Sc., MM., M.Sos., I., MAP, KPS in the Unimerz Postgraduate scope, teaching lecturers and all new Unimerz Postgraduate students.

In his remarks, Unimerz Postgraduate Director, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli., SE, M.Si said that Megarezky University has carried out national education in the era of digitalization by creating an online learning policy.

"The theme of our public lecture today is the direction of national education towards the era of digitalization. Megarezky University is one of the campuses that has adapted, because it has issued a policy for learning to be carried out remotely (online). Of course, every policy always has weaknesses. "But we ensure that the weaknesses are smaller than the advantages," he said.

"I hope that all postgraduate program students can take part in this public lecture well. "And I ask the students to remain on standby, because at the end of the public lecture we will be given Edlink training regarding filling out the KRS," he hoped.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, Prof. Dr. Sukardi Weda, SS., M.Hum., M.Pd., M.Si., MM., M.Sos., I., MAP as resource person at the public lecture said that learning carried out digitally has a positive side and negative.

"Adapting digital learning certainly has positive and negative sides. For example, in the past, when people wanted to find out a theory, they had to look for and open a book. If you open your cellphone now, everything is complete on Google. And one more thing, when using social media, usually many people send photos and so on, but of course we have to be smart in filtering the information we get. If there is something negative, just delete it. "The point is, my message is that we must be polite, wise and elegant in using social media," he said.
