Megarezky University (Unimerz) held Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) training for Unimerz Lecturers, in the Megarezky Health Polytechnic Meeting Room, on Wednesday (24/1/2024).
Also present at this activity were the Chancellor of Unimerz; Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE., M.Sc, Vice Chancellors of Unimerz, Deans of Unimerz, Chairs and Secretaries of study programs, and Lecturers of Unimerz.
The presenter at the RPL training was Prof. Ir. Yoel Pasar, ST, MT is part of the LLDIKTI RPL Team and is also the Deputy Chancellor II of Paulus Christian University.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE., M.Si as Chancellor of Unimerz said that this training aims to enable Megarezky University lecturers to become assessors who understand learning recognition.
"The aim of the training is so that our lecturers can become assessors who understand the recognition of learning. "Because RPL talks about recognizing courses or learning that has been experienced by the community, whether formal, informal, non-formal education or work experiences that can be recognized," he said.
"Our campus is a large campus, our hope is that in the future Megarezky University can become one of the campuses that can absorb graduates who will continue the RPL path," he added.
In line with that, Dr. NS. Julia Fitria Ningsih, S.Kep., M.Kes., M.Kep as Deputy Chancellor I of Unimerz said that the training was carried out in order to produce internal assessors within Unimerz.
"Yesterday's training was carried out to produce internal assessors within Unimerz. We will also be supported by the institution or rectorate to develop the RPL system. We want to develop an RPL system with Sevima later. "By 2024, there must be an RPL system developed, so that it will be easier for assessors to assess prospective new RPL students," he said.
Not only that, he also hopes that apart from RPL, Unimerz is also expected to be able to present a fast track scheme for a faster study period.
"We hope that RPL at postgraduate level can also be further encouraged because there are many interested people. "We also hope that in the future Unimerz will have a fast track scheme so that the study period will be faster," he said.
