The Faculty of Pharmacy, Megarezky University (Unimerz) held a public lecture with the theme 'Implementation of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health and Pharmaceutical Personnel', on Fl. 5 Megarezky University Hall, on Tuesday (22/11/2023).
The speakers at the public lecture were Apt. Noffendri, S.Si. He is the General Chair of the Central Management of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (PP IAI).
Also present at this public lecture were the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. apt. Jangga, S.Sc., M.Kes, Deputy Dean of Pharmacy, Chair and Secretary of the Pharmacy study program, lecturers/staff and hundreds of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. apt. Jangga, S.Si., M.Kes hopes that this public lecture activity can broaden the knowledge of Pharmacy faculty students regarding policy developments in the pharmaceutical world.
"Hopefully we can receive it well, so that we can receive insight from all of us as students, whether at the D3, S1 and professional level regarding the development of policies in the world of pharmacy," he hoped.
Meanwhile, in his presentation, Apt. Noffendri, S.Si revealed that the group of pharmaceutical health workers consists of three, namely vocational pharmacists, pharmacists and specialist pharmacists.
"The types of health workers included in the pharmaceutical personnel group consist of vocational pharmacists and specialist pharmacists. "Pharmaceutical practice must be carried out by pharmaceutical staff in accordance with statutory provisions," he said.
"Pharmaceutical practice as intended includes production, including quality control, procurement, distribution storage, research and development of pharmaceutical preparations, as well as health management and services," he added.
For information, after finishing the public lecture, the presenters together with the academic community of the Unimerz Faculty of Pharmacy visited several pharmacy laboratories.
