Student of the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program (Prodi) Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FKK) Megarezky University (Unimerz), Mey Cornelia Rafyo Kulalean successfully passed the selection as a participant in the Online Global Health Program in Nursing 2022, organized by Yokohama City University and Hasanuddin University (Unhas) .

She was the only Megarezky University student who qualified to be able to discuss and exchange ideas with students from the Yokohama City University campus.

When confirmed by Unimerz Press Personnel, Mey Cornelia Rafyo Kulalean said that, when she learned of the announcement of the selection results, she admitted that she was happy, but also sad. This was because he was the only one from a campus outside Unhas, while none of his colleagues who also took part in the selection passed.

“I am very happy, because finally I was selected and qualified to take part in a student exchange program with students from Japan. But on the other hand I was sad, because I was alone and none of my friends escaped. "So I am the only student outside the Unhas campus who is taking part in this program," said Mey, Wednesday (28/9/2022).

"Previously, we from Unimerz had 8 people take part in the selection, and all of them were Nursing Study Program students. We all took part in the selection and were interviewed directly by nursing lecturers from the organizers. And after a few weeks, the selection results came out and I was declared to have passed. "Everyone who passed was Unhas students, except me," he added.

Not only that, the nursing student also explained a little about what she did with students from Japan during the program.

“This is a student exchange program between Indonesia and Japan. So this activity is more precisely a student exchange program. Where we Indonesian students and Japanese students introduce each other to our world in the health sector. So we introduce each other to the world of health in our respective countries, for example we share our methods in Indonesia in dealing with Covid-19. "Apart from that, we also informed them about our methods in Indonesia in holding lectures during the pandemic," he explained.

"In this program we are divided into several groups to exchange ideas and discuss with Japanese students via zoom. Yesterday, several Japanese students also asked us about the highest level of cases in Indonesia. Apart from that, they also asked what our processes are when practicing in a hospital. "So basically we discussed with each other to get to know the world of health from two countries, namely Japan and Indonesia," concluded Mey Cornelia Rafyo Kulalean.

For information, the activity program will last for two days, namely 14-15 September 2022, via zoom.
