To commemorate the anniversary of Megarezky University (Unimerz), the academic community held Unimerz's 17th Anniversary activities which will take place from 12-24 December 2022.
Today, Saturday (24/12) is the peak event of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary. The celebration has been designed to be very lively by the committee. However, unfortunately, there were several obstacles so that one of the series of events was not carried out, namely the health walk.
The series of health walks could not be held, due to unstable weather conditions, high intensity rain hit the Makassar City area from morning to evening.
However, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the committee to enliven the highlight of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary event.
At the peak of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary, there were also special performances from the champions of the singing and stand up comedy competitions that had previously been competed.
Apart from that, this moment also marks the final selection of candidates for Megarezky University Campus Ambassadors in 2022, and the announcement of the competition winners in each category including sports, arts and science competitions.
Not only that, the most exciting thing at the peak of the Dies Natalis was that there was a shouting competition per study program and institution. Then it was continued with a door prize drawing where the main prize was gold worth IDR 1 million and 2 televisions.
When met by Unimerz Press Personnel, Awaluddin, S.Pd., M.Pd as Chair of the Anniversary Committee said that the entire series of events held at the peak of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary did not escape the help of the organizing committee.
"Thank God, everything went smoothly. Today too, I really hope that the peak event of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary can take place very lively. For the past 2 weeks, the Dies Natalis event has been going on, and everything was carried out well with the help and support of the foundation and the organizing committee team. "I hope that our cooperation can continue, and we can meet at the Unimerz Anniversary next year," he said.
In line with that, Eka Sari Ridwan, SKM., M.Kes as Secretary of the Anniversary Committee also expressed his thanks to all parties involved in the celebration of Unimerz's 17th Anniversary.
"We, as the committee and Admissions representatives, would like to express our gratitude for the participation of the entire Megarezky University academic community, especially the Dies Natalis organizing committee, who have supported and helped make this annual activity a success. "And we also say special things to all the lecturers and staff, who have contributed to welcoming the arrival of female students to the program from the Admission institution, namely Open Days," he explained.
"My hope is that in the future our Unimerz can be more advanced and leading in the field of education, by upholding the university's vision and mission," he hoped.
Also present to enliven the highlight of the Unimerz 17th Anniversary event were the Heads of the Rectorate of Megarezky University, the Vice Chancellors of Unimerz, Lecturers/Staff of the Unimerz environment, as well as pupils and students throughout Makassar City.
