The Faculty of Law, Megarezky University (Unimerz) held a workshop explaining the vision and mission of the study program, in the Meeting Room of the Megarezky University Rectorate Building, Tuesday (11/10/2022).

This workshop activity was held with the theme 'The Role and Strategy of Business Law in Creating Progressive Jurisdiction in the Era of Globalization'.

The presentation of the vision and mission of the law faculty was also combined with the presentation of the vision and mission of the Business Law study program.

Also attending the vision and mission workshop were Deputy Chancellor II, Deputy Chancellor III and Deputy Chancellor IV, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Digital Business, LPM, Chair and Secretary of the Study Program, as well as lecturers and staff. scope of Megarezky University.

In his opening, Vice Chancellor II, dr. Drs. Abdul Rahman, S.Pd, MM, M.Pd, said that vision and mission are the main direction in carrying out something, including study programs.

“This workshop is important to do, because we cannot operate without a vision and mission. "This is our direction in carrying out things, including in carrying out the Business Law study program," he said in front of the workshop participants.

"Please discuss with each other well, so that the vision and mission of this study program can be sharp, and can be implemented or realized well in the future," he concluded.

Meanwhile, in presenting the vision, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mochammad Noer Alim Qalbi, SH, L.LM, said that the vision he created for the Faculty of Law would certainly be in line with the University's vision.

"The vision of the Faculty of Law is to become a superior faculty in the field of technology-based law that is able to compete nationally by 2034," he explained.

"Of course, this vision is the result of our discussions at the law faculty and is considered to be in line with the vision of the university. When learning we will use technology. This business law study program is the first in Eastern Indonesia. "And we are optimistic that by 2034 we will create professional graduates, especially in the legal field," he added.

Not only that, in realizing the vision of the Unimerz Law faculty, the Secretary of the Megarezky Islamic Education Foundation revealed that there are 5 missions that are considered to be carried out by the academic community.

"The mission that we will carry out is to carry out professional education and learning in the legal field, carry out quality and innovative research that is aligned with the needs of society, carry out community service, especially acting as a follow-up to the application of research results.

"Developing the implementation of local, national and international cooperation to improve the quality of human resources and the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. "And implementing SPMI-based faculty governance," he added.

After presenting the vision and mission of the Faculty of Law, it was continued with the presentation of the vision and mission of the Business Law study program, Faculty of Law, Megarezky University by Ahmad Syahird, SH, MH as Chair of the Business Law Study Program.

"The vision of the Business Law study program is to become a Business Law Study Program that is capable of producing moral Law graduates, concentrating on technology-based Corporate Law that is able to compete nationally in 2034," he said.

He further said, there are several missions that will be carried out to realize the existing vision, one of which is implementing the Tri Dharma Higher Education program with 'Corporate Law' as a characteristic.

“Our characteristic in the Business Law study program is Corporate Law. "There are 5 missions that we will carry out in realizing our vision, namely providing education, research and business law services with a concentration on Corporate Law," he said.

“Establishing cooperation with related agencies, in order to develop practical skills and the field of business law with a concentration on Corporate Law. "As well as organizing SPMI-based study program governance," he said.

Hearing the presentation of the vision and mission, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. apt. Jangga, S.Si, M.Kes said that in the theory of formulating a vision, there are 3 things that are considered important.

"The theory of vision includes 3 things, namely the existence of a future institutional vision, a focus that will be achieved within a certain period of time, and institutional targets for the region within a certain period of time," he said.

Apart from that, he said, there needs to be work programs carried out on each mission, whether short, medium or long term programs.

“To achieve a vision, a mission is needed. "And to make this happen, there must be work programs for each mission, be it a Development Master Plan (long term), a Strategic Plan (medium term) or an Operational Plan (short term)," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor III of Megarezky University, Dr. Jalal, M.Pd. In his suggestions, he requested that the vision presented should not just be a slogan, but must be able to be realized.

"The vision and mission is of course not just a written slogan, but the vision is a target that we want, must be adjusted to our abilities & the job market, and must be realized," he concluded.
