Megarezky University (Unimerz) also enlivened the implementation of the Indonesian Higher Education Exhibition (Indonesia Higher Education) Expo 2023, at the Indonesian Cultural Center (PBI) Dili, Timor Leste which lasted for 3 days, from 24 – 26 October 2023.
Apart from Megarezky University, the Timor Leste Education Attaché also invited 40 Indonesian state and private universities to jointly enliven the 2023 IHEE Education Exhibition.
In his opening, Ikhfan Haris as the Indonesian Embassy's Education and Culture Attaché, said that this activity would take place for three full days from 24 to 26 October at PBI by providing scholarship opportunities for Timor-Leste youth to continue their studies at the D3 to Doctoral level offered. from 40 universities in Indonesia.
"This is a routine event from PBI and the Indonesian Embassy in Dili which have been holding the exhibition since 2016. Meanwhile, this year we have entered our sixth year. "However, in 2020 and 2021 we did not implement it because of the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.
Not only that, he also said that the aim of holding this educational exhibition was to open up maximum access to information for Timor-Leste citizens who want to continue their studies in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor IV for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems; Dr. Hj. Arfenti Amir, S.Pd., M.Pd said that during the activity, the Megarezky University booth was visited by many students, teachers and employees from Timor Leste.
"During the activity, the enthusiasm of thousands of visitors at the Megarezky University booth was extraordinary, from students, staff to teachers from various schools," he said.
"Of course our team from Megarezky University will not just miss this opportunity, especially as this activity is also included as a form of community service activity. "We were also invited as guest lecturers at ISC, as well as visiting lectures," he said.
