Megarezky University (Unimerz) hosted the implementation of Assistance for Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) by the Region IX Sultan Batara Higher Education Service Institute, in the Megarezky Polytechnic Meeting Room, on Wednesday (17/5/2023).
In his speech, Muh. Tahir Hamsah, ST representing the Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, Sultan Batara, said that RPL is a program carried out for equality among people who have never attended the lecture process, but are already working.
"We may still be hearing about the RPL, even though we have been implementing the RPL for a long time. This RPL can be said to be the same as the previous conversion model, when we accepted transfer students, changed levels or equalized. The RPL picture is the same as that, but now there are updates. "Currently RPL is providing equalization for students who have never participated in the lecture process but who have been working for a long time," he explained.

"For example, I am 53 and have never studied at university, but because I have worked for more than 20 years, I can be directed by the RPL team, I can be registered with a study program that suits my field, and I don't have to start over from the beginning. Usually, in the term RPL, students go through the side door. "And you can sit directly in semester 7," he added.
Not only that, at the end of his speech, he also expressed his gratitude for Megarezky University's willingness to host the implementation of Past Learning Recognition Assistance.
"On behalf of the Head of LLDIKti, we express our appreciation and thanks to Megarezky University for being willing to host the RPL Assistance activities. This is the first time this has been done. "This activity was only carried out by 2 batches, and this was the first batch to be held directly at Megarezky University," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs, Dr. NS. Julia Fitria Ningsih, S.Kep., M.Kes., M.Kep expressed her gratitude for the trust given to Megarezky University to host the first batch of RPL mentoring activities.
"Alhamdulillah, Unimerz has been entrusted as the host for the implementation of RPL Assistance by LLDIKTI Region IX Sultan Batara. "Hopefully this activity can run well, and hopefully we can get things that need to be considered in the RPL system," he said.
For your information, this activity was also attended by LLDIKTI Region IX Sultan Batara officials, Head of the LLDIKti Region IX Sultan Batara RPL Team, Head of Megarezky University and staff, as well as representatives from 10 universities in the LLDIKti Region IX Sultan Batara region.
