Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science Dr. I.T. Ir. Supriadi Sahibu, S. Kom MT expressed his gratitude for the success of the Megarezky University Robot Team in winning first place in the 2024 Celebes Robot Contest with the theme "Integrating Smart Technology For Indonesian Youth Creativity Development" which was held from 5-8 March 2024 at the Faculty of Engineering Hasanuddin University Makassar.
This activity was attended by 9 state universities and private universities from inside and outside Sulawesi Island, namely Hasanuddin University, Makassar State University, Handayani University, Indonesian Muslim University, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie Institute of Technology, Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic, ATI Makassar Polytechnic, Ciputra University Surabaya , and Megarezky University with 28 robots registered as competition participants.
In the Celebes Robot Contest activity this time there were 28 Robot Teams registered as participants who were divided into 7 groups, where the matches were divided into preliminary rounds, round of 16, round of 8, semifinals and finals.
In the preliminary round, all Robot Teams from Megarezky University managed to advance to the round of 16 and became champions with the highest points in each group. The next match, 2 Megarezky University Robot Teams continued the match until the end and managed to get 1st and 4th place.
Megarezky University's Faculty of Computer Science (FIKOM) sent 3 Robot Teams, each team consisting of 3 Students and 1 Lecturer Assistant, along with the name of the Robot team from FIKOM Unimerz, namely Timerz 1 companion; Hatma, S. Kom., M. Kom, CR-Timerz companion; Figure Muhammad, S. Kom., M. Kom, CodeBlitz Timers Companion; Abdul Sakti, S. Kom., M. Kom. The lecturers who accompanied them directly during the activity felt proud of the success achieved by the teams.
Finally, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science hopes that the success achieved by the Unimerz Robot Team can encourage FIKOM students to continue to develop their potential so that in the future they will achieve more achievements at both national and international levels.
