PROFILE OF S2 SOCIOLOGY EDUCATION

The Master of Education in Sociology is a study program which has the main task of creating professional, qualified and superior experts and educators in the field of social sciences.

At Megarezky University, master's students in sociology education will be strengthened with a sharper understanding of knowledge and experience related to sociology.

Apart from that, the learning model applied in the master's program in sociology education is also carried out using more modern methods, supported by sophisticated and complete technological facilities, as well as professional teaching staff in the field of sociology education.

VISION

In 2037, it will become a superior study program in developing science and technology in the field of Masters level sociology education based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

  • Producing graduates with undergraduate degrees in sociology education who are superior and of good quality and are competitive so as to contribute to improving human resources, especially improving the quality of education.
  • Producing research and innovative thinking in the field of sociology education that is oriented towards the development of science and technology.
  • Implementation of community service activities based on utilization and empowerment of all levels of society as a form of social care and sensitivity.
  • Increased capacity for collaboration in the field of Higher Education tridharma with educational institutions and other institutions at both national and international levels to increase the competency of study program resources and the quality of outcomes.

GRADUATE PROFILE

Lecturer / Educator

As a lecturer, alumni of the Sociology Education Master's Study Program are expected to master the concepts of sociological theory, sociological research methods, sociological learning concepts/perspectives, and understand the development of social phenomena in a holistic-integrative manner. Master and develop science and technology according to their field in field of Sociology. Have the ability and sharp and accurate analysis of phenomena that occur in the world of education. Making sociology the main instrument in observing and analyzing educational problems, both those that occur in the school room and outside the school. and has the ability to bring school people and the community closer together.

Social Researcher

As a social researcher, alumni of the Megarezky University sociology education master's study program are expected to have the ability to design scientific research and popular writing, present at national and international scientific events and which can be utilized by policy makers in various stakeholders. Carrying out research, design, development and/or implementation of social science in accordance with scientific principles to produce solutions, ideas, designs or scientific descriptions of the results of the study in the form of a thesis (scientific work).

Social Analyst

As an expert social analyst, an alumnus of a master's degree in sociology education, in solving problems in social and educational matters, he carries out careful and measurable analysis in the solutions faced by clients. have the ability to develop sustainable assistance plans and have expertise in communicating and collaborating with government parties. and have sensitivity to the potential for social problems in society. for example, social problems that are often faced today are street children, begging, sexual violence, exploitation of children in the world of work.
