The undergraduate and professional midwife study program (prodi), Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FKK) Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully held a curriculum workshop, in the SPMI Unimerz Room, on Monday (7/8/2023).

Also present at this activity were Vice Chancellor II Unimerz, Dr. Abdul Rahman, Dean of FKK, Chair of the Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program, lecturers at FKK Unimerz, Chair of PB IBI South Sulawesi, Chair of AIPKIND Sulselbar, and stakeholders from several health centers in the city of Makassar.

The activity with the theme 'review of the KKNI-oriented higher education curriculum' presented one of the parties from the Midwifery Collegium, namely Dr. Yanti, S.ST., M.Keb as speaker.

In his presentation, Dr. Yanti, S.ST., M.Keb said that the curriculum needs to be reviewed, so that it can be adjusted to the vision of the faculty and university.

“The curriculum needs to be reviewed, so that it can be adapted to the vision of the university and faculty. "At the university and UPPS level, we must set milestones in the form of short, medium and long term targets in the form of a strategic plan," he explained.

Not only that, he also said that the scientific vision between the midwifery professional study program and the University's vision must be inline and support each other.

"Referring to the vision of universities and faculties that promote the excellence of PT (center of innovation) in terms of technology, the scientific vision of the Midwife professional study program is to be inline and support the university. "Apart from that, the most important thing is that the competency level of the midwife profession must refer to KMK No. 320 of 2020 concerning midwife professional standards," he explained.

"The study program vision does not need to include scope and year because it is a scientific vision that will continue to develop along with Tridharma activities. "Apart from that, it will always be taken by every graduate produced every year and will become a center of excellence (reference center)," he said.
