The Biomedical Science study program (Prodi) Faculty of Health Technology (Fatelkes) Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully held a hybrid Guest Lecture activity, on Saturday (29/7/2023).
The guest lecture with the theme 'Cell Culture and Applications in the Health Sector' is a routine activity carried out to provide additional insight to students and lecturers regarding one of the scientific fields in the field of medical biotechnology, namely cell culture.
The Guest Lecture activity presented UIN Lecturers Alauddin Makassar, Hajrah, S.Si., M.Si. as a resource person. Not only is he a lecturer, he has also worked at Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital, West Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, in charge of stem cell development and breeding and quantitative protein analysis.
"The emergence of cell culture techniques is good news for the medical community or the medical world in treating diseases based on cell therapy. Cell culture treatment is very effective because it treats cells without going through surgery. "However, the development of this technique is still lacking because people still have minimal understanding about treatment using cell culture techniques," he said when presenting the material.
For information, this Guest Lecture was also attended by 40 participants consisting of lecturers and students from the Unimerz Biomedical Science study program, UNKAHA, Univet and UIN Alauddin Makassar students.
