The Undergraduate Bioinformatics Study Program (Prodi) at the Faculty of Health Technology, Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully held expert lectures on the Use of High Performance Computing (HPC) in the Field of Bioinformatics and an Introduction to Protein Interaction Modeling and Prediction Programs.
The expert lecture activity was held in a hybrid manner via a zoom meeting in the Polimerz meeting room, on Tuesday (29/8/2023).
Also present at this activity were the Dean of the Unimerz Faculty of Health Technology; Prof. Asnah Marzuki, Chair of the Bioinformatics Undergraduate Study Program; Arafah Nurfadillah, S.Si., M.Kes, Secretary of the Bioinformatics study program, lecturers/staff of the Bioinformatics study program as well as students and other participants.
The aim of holding this activity is to increase the capacity of Unimerz Undergraduate Bioinformatics students by introducing programming for protein data analysis and the use of high-performance computing technology in the field of bioinformatics.

In her statement, Umu Syauqah Al Musyahadah, S.Si., M.Sc as Secretary of the Bioinformatics Study Program hopes that the expert lecture activities can broaden the insight of Bioinformatics undergraduate students.
"This activity is expected to open the horizons of Bioinformatics undergraduate students regarding the latest technology and its use in the field of Bioinformatics considering that similar technology has not been widely developed in Indonesia, especially in Eastern Indonesia," he hoped.
For your information, the speaker at this activity was Dr. Eng. Wisnu Ananta Kusuma, ST, MT He is an expert in the field of Bioinformatics from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, IPB University, Researcher at the Center for Tropical Biopharmaceutical Studies, IPB University and Chair of MABBI (Indonesian Biodiversity and Bioinformatics Society).
