The Physical Education Study Program (Prodi) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Megarezky University (Unimerz) held activities in the form of Outing Class which was held at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar, on Friday (24/11/2023).
This activity is the output of the final Motor Learning course taught by one of the Physical Education study program lecturers, namely Wahyu Munandar, M.Or.
In his speech, Principal H. Abd. Gaffar, S.Pd., M.Pd. conveyed that in the future this activity should be combined with a Futsal exhibition with the Team from SMA Negeri 4 Takalar.
The Deputy Head of Curriculum, Mursalim and the Deputy Head of Public Relations, Abd. Jalil, who welcomed and took part in this discussion, said that the discussion activities proceeded in an orderly manner, even though it was marked by a blackout incident, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the organizing committee.
For your information, class XII students were very enthusiastic in asking questions. One of the students named Wahid, class MIA 3, asked about the influence and impact of social media on students as well as tips for choosing a major when wanting to continue their education at university.
This was immediately responded to by Wahyu Munandar, M.Or. He said, the best social media is used as a learning medium so that we can learn from each other share information about learning tasks at school.
"The tip for choosing a major/study program at the tertiary level is to choose according to the interests and competencies concerned and choose a study program that has been accredited, such as the Physical Education Study Program, FKIP, Megarezky University, which is currently accredited B," he said.
"I hope that students will not hesitate to make the choice to study at Unimerz, where there are several advantages including good accreditation, complete and adequate facilities and infrastructure. Moreover, each class is equipped with an air-conditioned room and has an LCD projector as a learning medium, competent teaching staff and scholarship assistance for high achievers and the underprivileged, one of which is the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) program. "Hopefully this activity will also have a positive impact on the quality of education at SMA Negeri 4 Takalar by establishing communication with Megarezky University," he added.
This activity also received a good response from the teachers of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar, one of whom was Syamsuddin who is a PJOK teacher. He hopes that students from this school can be absorbed into Unimerz considering that many Takalar residents are registered as students at the campus which is known as the healthiest campus according to LLDIKTI Region IX Sultan Batara.
