The Diploma 3 Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) study program (Prodi) at the Faculty of Health Technology, Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully held the Final Clinical Practice Seminar I (Puskesmas), in the Megarezky Health Polytechnic Library Room, Saturday (7/1/2023).
It is known that the Final Seminar on Clinical Practice I (Puskesmas) is one of the mandatory courses for DIII TLM study program students. PK 1 is the final stage of the PK 1 course, attended by hundreds of level II students, spread across 17 community health center practice areas in Gowa, Makassar and Maros.
Later, this clinical practice will last for 4 weeks, with assistance from study program lecturers and the Community Health Center Lab Department.
In his statement, Resi Agestia Waji, S.Sc., M.Si as Head of the TLM Unimerz DIII Study Program, said that the Final Clinical Practice Seminar is one of the course assessment points and must be attended by prospective practice participants.
"This Final Seminar is one of the assessment points of the PK1 course and is mandatory for course participants to attend, with the aim of being a forum for assessment, sharing information and discussions between supervisors, CI Land and Students regarding what has been undertaken during the 4 weeks at the Puskesmas each," he said.

"Apart from that, CI Lahan also provides input on the results presented by students and of course input to the Study Program which is constructive for the implementation of further PK1," he added.
He further said that the seminar discussed the types of examinations used during practice and what programs students could undertake later.
"Discussion of the results of community health center practices, including the types of examinations carried out, the types of instrumentation used, student participation in the community health center program as well as discussions regarding input from CI Land and CI Institutions," said the figure who is often called Eci.
By holding this activity, the Head of DIII TLM Unimerz Study Program hopes that students can gain additional knowledge and experience when taking part in clinical practice.
"Our hope is that students can gain additional knowledge according to their competency as ATLM and make them more confident in carrying out examinations and become equipped to take part in Clinical Practice II (Balai) in the following semester. And for practice areas, mutually constructive cooperation is established for the development of each agency. "For the Study Program, this seminar can be a forum for fulfilling student competencies so that they can produce alumni who are ready to work and compete in their fields," he said.
