Discussion of the MoU between Megarezky University and the Jeneponto Regional Government

Megarezky University (Unimerz) held a meeting with the Collaboration Team from the Regional Government (Pemda) of Jeneponto Regency in the Meeting Room of the Rectorate of Megarezky University, Friday (17/2/20230).

The purpose of holding this meeting was to discuss the Cooperation (MoU) between the Jeneponto Regional Government and the Megarezky University Campus.

This meeting was also attended by the Trustee of the Islamic Education Foundation (YPI) Mega Rezky, Dr. H. Alimuddin, SH, MH, Deputy Chancellor IV of Megarezky University; Dr. Hj. Arfenti Amir, S.Pd., M.Pd, Deputy Chancellor III for Student Affairs, Dr. Jalal, M.Pd, and the Jeneponto Regency Regional Government Cooperation Team.

In his statement, YPI Advisor Mega Rezky, Dr. H. Alimuddin, SH, MH said that universities and local governments must be able to synergize with each other in implementing programs that relate to community life.

"Of course, the implementation is how our programs at universities can synergize with government programs, especially in the health sector such as preventing stunting. "So that our MoU in the future can provide positive feedback to each other," he explained.

Likewise, Deputy Chancellor IV of Megarezky University; Dr. Hj. Arfenti Amir, S.Pd., M.Pd said, the scope of the collaboration carried out was the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

"The collaboration carried out is within the scope of the tri dharma of higher education, namely education, research and community service, especially for our students who will undertake real work courses (KKN) in the next few months," he said.

Meanwhile, the Jeneponto Regional Government Team admitted that they really respect the content of the work programs offered by Megarezky University. According to him, the people in Jeneponto still really need touch, including in the health sector, especially stunting.

"Hearing several explanations regarding the work program that will be held to help resolve the Stunting problem within the Regional Government), we are very supportive, and of course we will convey all of this to the Regent of Jeneponto. With the PKS, in this case the Community Health Center and the Health Office will provide special attention or support to universities, especially Megarezky University. "And our hope is that there will be a program that will touch the wider community," he said.
