The Megarezky University Language Institute (Unimerz) has successfully organized a Cambridge program in direct collaboration with Briton. This program has been running for 1 year, but the exam (Cambridge Exam) will be held on June 7-10 2023.

The aim of holding this program is to be able to train the soft language skills of Megarezky University students, especially students in semesters 4-5. This was conveyed directly by the Head of the Unimerz Language Institute, Hasnani, SS, M.Hum when met at the Cambridge Test location, Saturday (10/6).

“This program has been going on for 1 year, but this week is the exam schedule. The aim of the Cimbridge program is for Unimerz students to have linguistic soft skills. That is in accordance with our vision and mission at Unimerz, excellence of course. During implementation, of course there were several obstacles, one of which was the problem that the number of students attending did not match the initial number. "This possibility happens because there is a learning schedule that conflicts with the study program," he explained.

"Our hope from the language institute and personally is that all students will get the best grades. Then, all students also pass and can make the best use of the certificates given. "Because the certificate they will get later is an international standard certificate," he hoped.

Meanwhile, Farah Sachrani, a representative from Briton, said that the Cambridge program was a very good program to improve the linguistic competence of Unimerz students. In fact, he said, Unimerz is the pioneer campus of the Cambridge program in the city of Makassar.

“This activity is a very good activity. Because regardless of the obstacles faced, the campus and the Foundation really support the implementation of this program. "Hopefully with this first implementation, the students produced will have better competence, especially support from the campus, and Unimerz graduates can compete with other campuses," he said.

"Unimerz is the first campus in South Sulawesi to run an international standard Cambridge program, or in other words Unimerz is the pioneer of all universities in Makassar City," he said.
