At the XVII South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) which was held in Sinjai-Bulukumba, Megarezky University (Unimerz) student, Umaya Syahida Letson and his team won a gold medal, Tuesday (25/10/2022).

It is known that Umaya Syahida Letsoin is an athlete from the Petanque Contingent for Makassar City. Apart from that, he is also an active 5th semester student at Unimerz, taking the Physical Education study program.

At the South Sulawesi Porprov, Umaya played in the Triple Woman number with her teammates Andi Annisa Triana, Fatya Fellyta Affandi, when playing in the Final against the Pare-Pare City Team and succeeded in winning a gold medal.

"Thank God, today's gold medal, I am very grateful for this achievement. I hope that in the future I will be given health and smoothness so that I can continue to achieve positive things," he said. "Hopefully this can be a motivation for me to be able to participate and excel in the national arena, such as POMNAS and national or international events," said the Unimerz student.

Meanwhile, Unimerz Petanque Trustee Awaluddin admitted that he was very grateful, proud and honored by Umaya's achievements

"Hopefully it can be a source of motivation for other students studying at the Unimerz Physical Education Study Program," he said.

"Be young people who have superior character because that is the way to achieve glory, all students must have personal excellence so they can compete and compete with other students throughout the world," he hoped.

Not only that, Awaluddin also expressed his gratitude for all the support both to the coaching team, FOPI Makassar City, KONI Makassar City and me, all the stakeholders that I cannot mention one by one, he concluded.
