Holding an Interactive Dialogue and MoU, Megarezky University Presents Makassar Police Chief

Megarezky University (Unimerz) through the D-III Dental Engineering Study Program (Prodi) Faculty of Health Technology (Fatelkes) held an Interactive Dialogue activity with the Makassar Police Chief, Police Commissioner. Dr. Mokhamad Ngajid, SIK, MH, on the 5th Floor of Megarezky University Hall, on Saturday (18/11/2023).

This activity was also attended by the Chancellor of Megarezky University; Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si, Vice Chancellors of Unimerz; the Deans and Deputy Deans, the Chair of the D-III Dental Engineering Study Program and staff, lecturers, hundreds of Unimerz students, as well as a group from the Makassar Police.

It is known that the implementation of the Interactive Dialogue with the theme 'Collaboration in Peaceful Elections in 2024' was also coupled with the signing of an MoU between Megarezky University and the Makassar Police.

In his remarks, the Chancellor of Megarezky University; Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si hopes that the Makassar Police Chief can provide understanding to Megarezky University students in facing general election events (Pemilu).

"The police as protectors and protectors of the community, we hope that the Makassar Police Chief can provide understanding to students regarding how to deal with election events. "As the next generation, how do students have to behave and be able to face it so that the entire process of a series of election events can take place calmly and peacefully," he said.

"Through this opportunity, we will also sign an MoU between Megarezky University and Makassar Police. "So that synergy occurs, the police and the campus world cannot be separated, because they must work together," he added.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Makassar Police Chief, Police Commissioner. Dr. Mokhamad Ngajid, SIK, MH hopes that all interactive dialogue participants will not be easily taken in by hoax news whose truth is not yet known, especially before an election period like this.

"We have now entered the stage of determining the presidential and vice presidential candidates and legislative candidates. Everything has been determined, there are 3 presidential and vice presidential candidates. November 28 - February 10 2024 will enter the campaign stage, February 11-13 2024 will be a quiet period. "And February 14 is the election period which will be held simultaneously in all regions in Indonesia," he said.

"Of course there are several things that are of concern, we in the police must be neutral. And please all participants who attend can anticipate hoax news. Don't let us be easily swayed by news that is not necessarily true. "We have to anticipate that, because usually before an election there are many movements which are sometimes outside the provisions, just to go viral," he added.
