In welcoming the start of 2024, the Chancellor of Megarezky University (Unimerz), Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE., M.Si expressed several fond hopes for the Megarezky University campus.
In fact, he said, at the beginning of 2024 there was a release from Dikti that Unimerz was included in the Intermediate Cluster college class.
"There was an announcement released from Dikti, that there are 4 higher education clusters, including the independent cluster, main cluster, intermediate cluster, pratama cluster and coaching. The campuses that are included in the independent cluster are more like state campuses such as Unhas and UNM, then for the main cluster in Makassar there are only 3 campuses, namely Unismuh, UMI and Bosowa. And Alhamdulillah, in this Intermediate cluster, one of them is our beloved campus, namely Megarezky University. "We are in the intermediate cluster class, meaning we are on par with UIM, whose campus is much older than our campus," he said when met by Unimerz Press Personnel, Wednesday (3/1/2024).
"Thus, to welcome 2024, God willing, we will hold a coordination meeting after the inauguration of new officials and new structures within Megarezky University. Our hope is that in 2024, Unimerz will have to further improve its performance. "Alhamdulillah, Unimerz's name outside of this is very good, the teaching and learning process is considered to fulfill the requirements, this is not research but is a fact that we found in the field," he added.
Not only that, he also said that one of the work programs he advocated was human resource development. He hopes that all lecturers can focus on managing functional positions.
"In 2024 we must synergize, collaborate so that we can improve the achievements we have now. Hopefully next year, Unimerz can be one level higher, from the Intermediate cluster to the Main Cluster. But if you look at the number of students, we are already in the top 5. "We must be grateful, in the next 5 to 10 years, I am sure our campus will be bigger and be on par with large private campuses," he said.
"One of our programs is also in developing human resources, such as our lecturers to immediately take care of their functional positions, up to the professor level. "Once again, I say that we have to work together, we are all a team to develop Unimerz better in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor 1 for Academic Affairs Unimerz; Dr. Ns. Julia Fitrianingsih, S.Kep., M.Kep said that one of Unimerz's achievement indices in the Intermediate cluster is seen from the number of sinta published.
“Campus index from lecturer Sinta release. So Unimerz continues to strive for lecturers to increase the quantity and quality of their teaching. That is one of the bases reported to Dikti, so we are included in the Intermediate cluster. "Last year, Megarezky University was still included in the Pratama cluster," he said, while chatting with Prof. Anwar.
"Well, if we are included in the Intermediate Cluster, then we have lots of opportunities to get grants. Sita's data was verified directly by LPPM with Dikti. "We are number 417 out of 4 thousand universities," he concluded.
