Megarezky University Officially Signs MoU with Luwu Regency Government in the Education Sector

Megarezky University (Unimerz) Makassar, represented by Deputy Chancellor 4 for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems, Dr. Hj. Arfenty Amir, M.Pd officially signed the MoU together with the Regent of Luwu, Dr. Drs. H Basmin Mattayang, MPd.

The signing of the Joint Agreement between the Luwu Regency Government and Megarezky University regarding Education, Research and Community Service was carried out in the regent's office, Luwu Regency Government office complex, Friday (24/11/2023).

In the agreement document, the Regent of Luwu is the first party and Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si as Chancellor of Megarezky University as the second party agreed to collaborate on education and teaching, research and community service.

"In addition to improving institutional relations with the Luwu Regency Government in carrying out education, teaching, research and community service, this joint agreement also aims to improve the quality of resources of both parties," explained Hj. Arfenty Amir.

The scope of this joint agreement includes, among other things, implementing the Independent Learning Program - Independent Campus, carrying out education and training in order to improve the quality of human resources, carrying out research, in the framework of finding data and facts about community life problems, carrying out community service and the Work Study program. Actual/Practical Thematic Field Work, assisted villages agreed upon by both parties, and other agreed fields as long as they do not conflict with the provisions in force in the respective agencies.

After signing, the Regent of Luwu expressed his support for Megarezky University programs for the development of education and the quality of human resources.

“We welcome everyone. "We always open opportunities for all educational institutions to collaborate in the field of education and scientific development," said H Basmin Mattayang.

The Regent also revealed that currently the Luwu Regency government continues to increase cooperation and collaboration with stakeholders in making the national government program a success, namely accelerating the reduction of stunting rates in Indonesia, especially in Luwu Regency.

"Education and health are included in the priority scale because they are basic needs of society that must be met," he said.
