Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully held the inauguration of the Chancellor for the 2023-2027 period. The inauguration was held at the Ramcy Panakkukang Hotel, on Wednesday (4/10/2023).
It is known that the inauguration of the Chancellor's office was also coupled with the handover of office from the Chancellor's office for the 2019-2023 period; Prof. Dr.dr Ali Aspar Mappahya, to the acting Chancellor for the 2023-2027 period.
The inauguration was attended by the Chairman of the Islamic Education Foundation (YPI) Islam Mega Rezky Makassar; Hj Suryani, SH, MH, YPI Secretary Mega Rezky; Siti Nurul Halizah, SIKom, M.Sc., Unimerz Chancellor for the 2019-2023 Period, Prof Dr H Ali Asphar Mappahya, SpPD, SpJP(K), Head of LLDikti Region IX Sultan Batara, Dr Andi Lukman, M.Sc, University leadership High in Makassar, the vice chancellors, deans and deputy deans, Head of Study Programs and Secretary of Study Programs, lecturers within the Unimerz Scope as well as various other guests.
Decree (SK) of the Mega Rezky Makassar Islamic Education Foundation with number: O40/SK/YPI-MM/X/2023 concerning the Appointment of Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si as Chancellor of Megarezky University (Unimerz) for the 2023-2027 period was read directly by the Secretary of BPH Megarezky University, Bahri Majid, SE, MM.

After reading the decree, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, accompanied by clergy, was sworn in directly by the Chair of the Mega Rezky Makassar Islamic Education Foundation, Hj Suryani, SH, MH witnessed by the Head of LLDikti Region IX Sultan Batara, Dr. Andi Lukman, M.Si. Which was followed by installing a PIN from the Chair of YPI Mega Rezky, Hj Suryani, SH, MH to the New Chancellor of Megarezky University (Unimers) Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Sc. Then, the handover of office from the previous rector, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ali Asphar Mappahya, SpPD, SpJP(K) to the new rector of Unimerz, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si for the 2023-2027 period was marked by the handing over of the disaster (Unimerz flag) and continued with signing the minutes of handing over of office and giving souvenirs.
A Word from the Chancellor for the 2019-2023 Period
After handing over the position, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ali Aspar Mappahya expressed his gratitude for his attention during the development of his mandate as Chancellor of Unimerz.
"During the 4 years of carrying out his duties as rector, Unimerz has produced approximately 34 study programs, there is a Rusunawa and a Postgraduate Program with 5 Study Programs, as well as the number of students increasing every year to thousands of new students, this means that Unimerz is liked by the community," he explained.
Message from YPI Trustee and Chair Mega Rezky
In his remarks, YPI Secretary Mega Rezky; Siti Nurul Halizah, SIKom, M.Sc said that Prof Dr.dr.Ali Aspar Mappahya had led Megarezky University for 4 years, and that Megarezky University had achieved a lot of progress during his period of office.
"On behalf of the foundation, I would like to congratulate Mr. Prof.Dr.Anwar Ramli, SE.MSi on his appointment as the new Chancellor of Megarezky University, and congratulate and thank Mr. Prof. Dr.dr.Ali Aspar Mappajya, SP.PD.Sp.JP (K) for his success in leading Megarezky University. Mr. Prof. Dr.dr.Ali Aspar Mappahya has led Megarezky University for 4 years, Megarezky University has achieved a lot of progress in that 4 year period, of course we all should express our highest appreciation and thanks to Mr. Prof. "Dr. Ali Aspar Maplahya who has led Megarezky University," he said.
"And of course there are various hopes and challenges in the future which will become increasingly complex, and competition increasingly fierce which will be a challenge for the new Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, in managing more than 30 study programs, including postgraduate studies. "One of the challenges is of course for new study programs whose curriculum and resources still need to be developed, including those with minimal interest," added the young lecturer.
Not only that, in his speech, he also conveyed a message from the coach and chairman of YPI Mega Rezky Makassar.
"The message from the founder of the foundation is that the quality of providing good education is something that is non-negotiable and non-negotiable at Megarezky University, whether providing education for all study programs through regular or non-regular channels. "I need to convey this considering that as a university that is still relatively young, Unimerz must remain strong with quality principles amidst increasingly competitive competition," he explained.
"Apart from that, a message was also left by the Chair of the Foundation, that to be able to excel and compete in the process of providing education, of course superior human resources and a solid team that can work together are needed. Because we know, there is a saying that says, if we want to arrive at our destination quickly, then we have to go alone. "But if we want to go a long way, we have to go together," he said.

Hopes of the Head of LLDIKTI
Meanwhile, the Head of LLDikti Region IX Sultan Batara, Dr Andi Lukman, M.Si conveyed his greetings to the Trustee of the Mega Rezky Islamic Foundation, Dr H Alimuddin, SH, MH, M.Kn who has managed and developed Megarezky University so that it can be on par with Private Universities The other largest is in the Sultan Batara area. He also admitted that he applauded the togetherness and synergy as well as the governance that exists at Unimerz, because it is running well.
"Hopefully Unimerz can make further progress under the leadership of the new chancellor and its achievements can be better than the previous chancellor. The new Chancellor of Unimerz, Prof. Dr. Anwar Ramli, SE, M.Si expressed his thanks to all the guests and invitees who attended as well as the entire Unimerz academic community who have provided energy and enthusiasm in carrying out this mandate as well as possible.
"Hopefully the hopes of the head of LLDikti Region IX Sultan Batara can be carried out well, this can be proven by his previous position leading the Unimerz Postgraduate program with new and young lecturers.
Not only that, he said, the success of a university must collaborate with larger universities. God willing, over the next 4 years Unimerz can produce at least 4 professors.
"The presence of professors at universities who were born from these universities indicates that the quality of education at these campuses is also advanced," said Prof. Anwar Ramli.
