Megarezky University (Unimerz) has successfully confirmed 935 graduates at the Extraordinary Open Senate Meeting of Megarezky University in the context of Graduation Class XVI Even Period 2023, at the Claro Hotel, on Tuesday (26/9/2023).
Also present at the Extraordinary Open Senate Meeting of Megarezky University in the context of the 2023 Class XVI Even Period Graduation were the Chair of the Islamic Education Foundation (YPI) Mega Rezky Makassar; Hj Suryani, SH., MH, YPI Secretary Mega Rezky, Siti Nurul Haliza, SIKom, M.Sc, Chancellor of Unimerz; Prof. Dr. Dr. Ali Aspar Mappahya, Sp.PD., Sp.JP(K), Unimerz Vice Chancellors, Unimerz Deans, Unimerz Chairmen and Secretaries, Heads of institutions and invited guests.
For information, the number of graduates who will be inaugurated today is 935, with details from the Faculty of Pharmacy 380 people, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery (FKK) 323 people, Faculty of Health Technology (Fatelkes) 103 people, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) 111 people and Faculty of Computer Science 8 people.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ali Aspar Mappahya, Sp.PD., Sp.JP(K) as Chancellor of Unimerz congratulated the graduates on their study achievements at diploma, bachelor and professional levels.
"I represent the entire academic community of Megarezky University, conveying my congratulations to all graduates for achieving their studies at the diploma, graduate and professional levels and making today the momentum for the end of small steps and the beginning of big steps to face the big challenges ahead," he said.
"I also express my thanks and congratulations to the parents of the graduates who, with extraordinary efforts, have supported our graduates in successfully completing their studies, and what is no less important is the trust that has been given to them in choosing Megarezky University," he added.
In line with that, YPI Secretary Mega Rezky, Siti Nurul Haliza, SIKom, M.Sc in her speech also congratulated you on your success in completing your studies and making the Unimerz campus proud.
"The 935 graduates that Unimerz succeeded in producing in this period is a matter of great pride and responsibility. How Unimerz is able to produce alumni who not only hold degrees, but also have character and are ready to use them in their respective fields. "Thank you and congratulations, because you are strong and great," he said.

Not only that, he also conveyed a quote from Malala's book regarding the essence of education. He said, the essence of education is how humans humanize humans and form a person's character.
"In her book, Malala says 'education is neither western nor eastern. education is human'. So, education is not western or eastern culture. But the essence of education is to humanize humans, to shape character, regardless of social, religious, economic status, every individual has the right to education and knowledge. So my message is of course, that fellow graduates never stop seeking knowledge wherever they are. "Because knowledge doesn't just stop at educational institutions, but there are also many lessons and knowledge that can be gained in society," he said.
"Not only that, I also advise my friends not to be afraid to compete, especially in the world of work. Don't feel inferior even though you will be dealing with alumni from state universities, for example, believe that all the knowledge and experience gained at Unimerz is something extraordinary that cannot be found at other campuses. "Because the best knowledge is not how much knowledge you gain, but what fellow graduates do with that knowledge for mutual benefit," he said.
For information, until now Megarezky University continues to develop various aspects, one of which is by presenting 5 postgraduate study programs, namely postgraduate programs in Reproductive Health, Pharmacy, Sociology Education, Hospital Administration and Health Promotion.
Apart from that, Megarezky University also carries out physical development. Since its founding as Stikes, Unimerz only has 2 buildings. But currently the area of Megarezky University is approximately 30,000 meters.
