The Megareszky University (Unimerz) Lecturer Team held community service as a follow-up to the realization of the use of grant funds through the Beginner Community Assistance Program (PMP) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdikburistek RI).

In this PMP activity, three proposing lecturers from across study programs were involved, namely Nurse Sudirman Efendi., M.Kep as Chair of the PMP from the Nursing Professional Education Study Program, Ismi Irdayanti Fachruddin, S.Gz., M.Gizi as a member of the Nutrition Study Program and Ahmad Farhan ,SE,MM is also a PMP member of the digital business study program. The activity took place very lively and was focused at the house of the chairman of PMP Partners from the Cahaya Mata Forum, on Jl. Trumpet Block X, Manggala Village, Thursday (14/09/2023).

The PMP activity carries the theme "Assistance in the use of social assistance based on protein-dense local food as an effort to prevent stunting and economic stimulus for KPM in Manggala, Makassar City".

In his statement, Sudirman Efendi as Chair of the Unimerz PMP Team said that the target of this activity is people who are classified as underprivileged who are vulnerable to stunting in their families, and are registered as Beneficiary Families (KPM) from the Ministry of Hope's Family Program (PKH) social assistance. social RI.

"This activity aims to provide education regarding efforts to prevent stunting through nutritional interventions made from local tempeh and provide training on how to process tempeh into a culinary product that will attract the appetite of family members. Apart from that, socialization is also provided regarding strategies for starting a business, which we hope will result from "The culinary processed tempeh can be used as a household business that can improve the community's economy," he said.

"Hopefully in the future the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture-Research and Technology will still give confidence to our team to utilize grant funding assistance so that it can reach a wider community service by collaborating across related sectors," hoped Sudirman Efendi.

The implementation of the PMP also involved several students, including Farida Takaba from the Nutrition Study Program and Khairun Nisa from the Nursing Study Program. Education regarding efforts to prevent stunting and training on tempeh-based food processing was delivered by Ismi Irdayanti Fachruddin, S.Gz., M.Gizi, then education regarding strategies for starting a business was delivered by Ahmad Farhan, SE, MM

On that occasion, Ernawati as Chair of the Cahaya Mata Forum in Manggala sub-district, who is also a partner in the implementation of the PMP, said she was very grateful for inviting partners in this activity which involved 25 KPM members.

"A total of 5 types of culinary dishes have been taught to us, namely Coto Tempe, Tempeh meatballs, katzu tempeh, sweet spicy tempeh and tempeh cukke bolu. "Apart from being given education about stunting, we were also given education on how to start a business, which motivated us to start a home business such as a culinary business using tempeh as the basic ingredient," he explained.
