Megarezky University (Unimerz) received a visit from Tarakan North Kalimantan Polytechnic in the Unimerz Rectorate Meeting Room, on Monday (4/9/2023).

The purpose of Tarakan Kaltara Polytechnic's visit to Unimerz was to carry out a comparative study of the implementation of the Faculty of Pharmacy Laboratory.

Also present at the meeting were the Chancellor of Megarezky University, Deputy Chancellor IV for Public Relations and Information Systems at Unimerz, Hj. Arfenty Amir, S.Pd., M.Pd, Dean of Pharmacy at Unimerz, Head of the D3 Pharmacy study program at Unimerz, lecturers at the Faculty of Pharmacy and leaders of the North Kalimantan Tarakan Polytechnic and their staff.

In his remarks, Deputy Chancellor IV for Public Relations and Information Systems at Unimerz, Hj. Arfenty Amir, S.Pd., M.Pd welcomed the North Kalimantan Tarakan Polytechnic on the Unimerz campus.

"We welcome you to Unimerz to the leadership of the North Kalimantan Tarakan Polytechnic. "Of course, this meeting is a source of pride for us, because our campus has been visited by several campuses from outside, one of which is the Kaltara Tarakan Polytechnic, whose aim is comparative studies," he said.

Not only that, he also hopes that in the future the Tarakan North Kalimantan Polytechnic and Megarezky University can conclude an MoU and MoA.

"We hope that with this comparative study activity, the Kaltara Tarakan Polytechnic campus and our campus can support each other and collaborate with each other to develop our institutions. "Hopefully this comparative study can provide strengthening to the two institutions," he hoped.

"And we also really hope that the comparative study activities are not only limited to comparative studies, but can also be mutual cooperation. "The comparative study should be an implementation of the MoU, so that hopefully in the future we can follow up with an MoU and MoA," he added.

Responding to the statement from the Deputy Chancellor IV of Unimerz, the Head of the D3 Pharmacy Study Program, Kaltara Tarakan Polytechnic, said that his party warmly welcomed the intention to carry out an MoU and MoA between his campus and Unimerz.

"Hearing the statement from the vice chancellor, I was very proud. And we warmly welcome the good intentions to collaborate or sign an MoU between Megarezky University and our campus. To be honest, many of our D3 Pharmacy students want to continue their Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, so if we have an MoU, then we no longer need to have difficulty finding an institution that can be occupied by our D3 Pharmacy alumni. "Moreover, I saw that at Unimerz there is already a Professional Pharmacist and Master of Pharmacy study program, I think this is very extraordinary," he said.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, the Dean of Unimerz Pharmacy, Dr. Apt. Jangga explained that there are several adequacy standards that must be met in carrying out study program accreditation.

"Because we will be holding study program accreditation, what must be considered is the adequacy of standards, of course there will be many things, namely including Human Resources (HR), infrastructure, and several other supports," he said.
