Megarezky University (Unimerz) hosted the opening of the competition to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), on Sunday (13/8/2023).
It is known that Unimerz was entrusted as the host and organizing committee for the celebration of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia by LLDIKTI Region IX.
In his speech, Dr. IT. Ir. Supriadi as Chair of the organizing committee expressed his gratitude for the mandate given by LLDIKTI to Megarezky University to be the committee and host for the celebration of the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
"We, representing the leadership of Megarezky University, would like to thank the Head of LLDIKTI Region IX who has given Unimerz the opportunity to serve as host and organizing committee. "Of course, this activity can be successful because of the good cooperation between Unimerz and LLDIKti region IX," he said.
"This activity will of course be filled with many competition activities, including sports competitions, arts and cultural competitions. There are 8 types of competitions that will be competed in, namely badminton, tennis, mini soccer, sack run, cracker eating and mass gymnastics which will be held today. "Meanwhile for art competitions there are fashion competitions, solo singing, group vocals and calligraphy competitions," he added.
In line with that, Dr. Abdul Rahman, M.Pd., M.Si as Deputy Chancellor II Unimerz expressed his gratitude for the mandate given by LLDIKTI Region IX. He also hopes that in the future, Unimerz can again host every activity organized by LLDIKTI.
"We, as leaders of Megarezky University, representing the chancellor, would like to thank LLDIKti very much. Who knows what the next activity will be, hopefully Unimerz will be the host again," he said.
Meanwhile, in his opening, Dr. Andi Lukman, M.Si as Head of LLDIKTI Region IX also expressed his gratitude for the willingness of Megarezky University for being the home and organizer of the celebration of Indonesian independence.
"We at LLDIKti would like to thank Unimerz for the opportunity to be the organizer of the celebration of Indonesian independence. Hopefully it can be held well. I see today's participants are very extraordinary. We really hope that holding this activity can unite all PTS region IX. "The important thing is that we do it well, and do it with full happiness," he said.
"So we really hope for togetherness and synergy to advance education, especially for all PTS region IX. "Hopefully there will continue to be collaboration in every activity, especially Tridharma," he said.
The opening of the celebration of the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence was accompanied by the implementation of mass gymnastics activities. The mass exercise was attended directly by representatives from all private universities in LLDIKti region IX.
Not only that, after the mass exercise was over, all the exercise participants took part in a blood donation activity. All participants who attended the opening of the competition looked very enthusiastic in taking part in the blood donation activity. It's just that many participants do not meet the qualifications as donors.
