The D-III Dental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Health Technology, Megarezky University (Unimerz) successfully set a MURI record for making and installing 250 flexible thermoplastic dentures in Jeneponto Regency, on Thursday (3/8/2023).

Also present at the Muri Record social service activity were the Director of the Pratama Rumbia Hospital (RS), the Chair of the Jeneponto Branch of the PDGI, the Muri Record Representative represented by Mr. Yusuf Ngadri and the entire community around the Rumbia area.

In his statement, the Head of the Unimerz Dental Engineering D-III Study Program, Dr. Umar Dg Palallo, A.Md.TG, S.KM., M.Kes said that the main aim of holding the student record service activity was as a forum for introducing the public to the dental engineering profession.

"Our aim in holding this activity is of course as a promotional medium for the Unimerz campus, especially in the D-III Dental Engineering study program so that the public can become more familiar with Dental Engineering, which is one of the jobs that makes thermoplastic flexible dentures," he said.

"I hope that this activity will not only be carried out today, but in the future the social service providing services, making and installing dentures in the community can be sustainable and can continue to be carried out in the community," he hoped.

Not only that, he also said that the community really welcomed the social service activity of making and installing 250 false teeth made from flexible thermoplastic.

"Thank God, the community was also very welcoming and very enthusiastic about participating in the process of making and installing dentures. Of course, it provides a happy and joyful atmosphere, because people who initially didn't have teeth, can now have teeth with false teeth with this social service activity.
