The Megarezky University Language Institute (Unimerz) collaborated with Briton to hold a Cambridge Exam Preparation Workshop, at Megarezky University Hall, on Saturday (27/5/2023).
This workshop was also attended by Unimerz's Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs; Dr. NS. Julia Fitria Ningsih, S.Kep., M.Kes., M.Kep, Head of the Unimerz Language Institute; Hasnani, SS, M.Hum, Speaker Aldyansyah, SS, MA (TESOL), students from the Faculty of Health Technology, Pharmacy and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP).
In his remarks, Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs at Megarezky University, Dr. NS. Julia Fitria Ningsih, S.Kep., M.Kes., M.Kep said that this activity was a form of superior and strategic program from Unimerz, to create alumni who have additional competencies and qualifications, especially English language skills.
"Today, fourth semester students from Class of 2021 at Megarezky University took part in the Cambridge speaking exam preparation. This is a preparation or workshop for international exams, especially for alumni preparation. "Because this is a superior and strategic program from Unimerz, to create alumni who have competencies and qualifications, not only competent in knowledge in their respective fields according to the study program, but they have additional competencies and are able to compete, foreign language skills and have international standard abilities," he said.
"Through collaboration with Briton, of course this will facilitate the Cambridge certificate. "So that our alumni have accompanying diploma certificates (SKPI) or international certificates which can certainly add to the portfolio and additional competencies for our alumni," he added.
Not only that, he also said that holding this activity proves that Unimerz is ready to compete at the national and even international level.
“The exam will be held on June 7-10 2023. Therefore, today, students must take part in a series of workshops to prepare them for strategies so that they graduate, so that all of them can have this international certificate. Perhaps only 1 private campus in the LLDIKTI Region IX area, namely Megarezky University, holds activities like this. "This is a stepping stone that Unimerz is ready to compete internationally in the future," he said.
