The Nursing Professional Education Study Program, Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery (FKK) Megareszky University (Unimerz) is again carrying out community service activities.
This activity is part of the tri dharma of higher education which is routinely carried out every semester. This community service was attended by hundreds of participants and was held in 3 different locations, namely at SMPN 19 Makassar, Bangkala Health Center and RW 7B. Bangkala Village, Mangngala subdistrict, Makassar City, on Thursday (26/01/2023).
The activity took place very lively and it seemed that residents were very enthusiastic about taking part in various free health service activities.
In his statement, Sardianto as chairman of Pantia said that during the community service there were several activities carried out, including education and health checks.
"The community service this time targets 3 points with various health services provided to targets such as random blood sugar checks (GDS), blood pressure measurements, body weight measurements, health screening, health education and various other services both at the Community Health Center and in the RW 7B environment . "Especially for SMPN 19 Makassar, the Nursing Study Program Lecturer Team provides services related to emergency and disaster response to students who will later use it as a model school," he explained.
Also present at this activity was the Head of the Nursing Professional Education Study Program, Ns. Sudirman Efendi, S.Kep., M.Kep said that this activity was carried out as a form of implementation of the tridharma of higher education.

"Community service is a form of Tri Darma whose benefits can be directly felt by the community. This year we are starting to partner with the Bangkala sub-district which we will make the study program's assisted village," he said.
"Therefore, on this first occasion, the Community Service Team is focusing more on identifying health problems in the community and will be followed up with various strategies for solving health problems by the Lecturer Team according to their respective competencies if problems have been identified," he added.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Muhammad Nur Said as the representative of the Bangkala Community Health Center really welcomed the arrival of a team of lecturers from Unimerz who were carrying out community service.
"We welcome the presence of the UNIMERZ Lecturer Team whose activities can be felt directly by the community, of course this will really help the Community Health Center in carrying out Community Health Effort (UKM) programs in overcoming various health problems that exist in the work area of the Community Health Center Bangkala," he said.
"We hope that this Pegmas activity can be routine and that the Bangkala Community Health Center will continue to support it as a partner in the health sector. "And we apologize. The Head of the Community Health Center is currently on duty so he didn't have time to be with us today," he hoped.
Apart from that, a similar statement was conveyed by the SMPN 19 Makassar school who appreciated the holding of this activity because it was able to receive new knowledge from the Unimerz lecturers, and hoped that activities like this would continue in the future and make SMPN 19 Makassar an Emergency response school. and Disaster.
